A note on maturity

Maturity and independence are closely related in that they both work on the same cycle of chains and pulleys. By that I mean as you grow older, wiser, and more intuitive you become more mature in the way that you think and handle issues. Independence is a privilege that our country just so happens to support. As you become more mature, you slowly slide out of the grasp of your authority figures in life and into an authority of your own. this is where the challenge begins.

The choices you make the second you are off the leash your parents may or may not have kept you so tightly on for 18 long painful years, are going to affect the rest of your life. One stupid little mistake can spiral your entire life out of control... and by out of control I mean you are having troubles making the right choices more and more each day. Life is loaded with all kinds of crazy choices.

EXAMPLE:
"its 3 in the morning and Ive had a long night and want to get home and into my nice warm bed but this red light wont change for the life of me. I could run it. Or I could wait patiently for it to change."

When in doubt... dont run the red light. when your feeling good about it, i still wouldnt run the red light. Use this as a guideline. life is full of red lights that dont want to change. I want to have sex now and I have no protection. this is a red light that just doesnt want to change. go get protection for Gods sake its not easy being a young single parent regardless of how often you will be seeing your child. trust me.

anywho... your maturity will decide how quickly you move through life's obstacles. Basically if you are feeling like a debbie downer and you dont think your life is worth a shit... maybe try growing up a little and start doing the things that YOU need to do. take advantage of your independence as a human being in a free country! its a tough ride out there and there is alot of things in life that can put a complete halt on your progress... dont let it happen. its not worth your time or the others you are going to hold back.
