The Celibate

Celibacy is an outward expression of devotion to yourself and your soul mate. Outside of marriage, sex is misused to show affection and to bestow a higher self esteem in one's self. Within marriage, sex can be a formal gesture of love and connection between the two people. Sex outside of marriage is admittance of ones own lack of control over our own bodies. Likewise, Our minds are also weakened by giving into the natural impulses that our body was built to give off.

Patience is the first and foremost quality being expressed through celibacy. Patience is one of the most rewarding characteristics in a person as well. By being patient and waiting for the bond of marriage to be activated, sex can be so much more special and mean so much more as a whole.

Unfortunately, one thing usually leads to another and sex eventually becomes just another step up from foreplay or different non intercourse related activities. Restraining from sexual pleasure all together can be very helpful when making the vow of celibacy. Its like saying, I want to be around marijuana, but I don't want to smoke it. You will eventually end up smoking it if you are around it all the time.

Celibacy can be much more difficult to achieve than completely saving sex for marriage as a virgin because you have already indulged in sexual intercourse and experienced it in entirety. But by being celibate, you are also building strong character traits and becoming a more assertive and mentally powerful individual.

Saving sex WILL be rewarding. As wonderful and incredible as it is, it could be all the more wonderful and incredible if it is saved for the person you are destined to be with and when you find that person and restrain from sexual activity until married, you will reap the rewards of a healthy bond and a powerful relationship.
