Shaded autumn brush piles eventually cover with the sleet and snow of the brisk winter skies. A darkened sky that resembles her feelings for me bring shadows all across the land in which I live. My heart beats strong and hard for her, yet she feels nothing similar. My hands tremble with dismay. Truly, something must be done. There must be a certain way to ignite the flame that burned so hot, at one point, inside us both.
But at once, the fresh spring air flows through the fields and moves the newly green leaves on the trees. A new spirit rises up in me as I take the first step into this completely restored landscape that stretches from me to you. A warm breeze lifts the sleeves of my shirt as I raise my arms in disbelief. Now that I can see the ground for the first time, I will be searching for the root of it all. I will recover what was lost long ago.
